SHE'S AMAZING AND PERFECT AND WE ARE SOOOOOO IN LOVE!!!

Katelyn has the most wonderful story that we will let her tell you some day. We want her story to be her story to tell, but we will gladly share our story with you. :)

As you can see from the timeline on the right that our adoption journey began in April of 2009. We finished our paperwork process in August of 2009 and began "the wait." When you look at the number of months that we waited it seems so long, but the reality of it did not seem that long. God has a way of keeping you busy and trusting in his timing. And what perfect timing he has. Our daughter was born the day after we finished our kitchen remodel. We received a phone call from our agency on Christmas Eve that a baby had been born the day before and that we had been chosen by the birth family. I took the phone call and it seemed soooo surreal that we were finally getting "the call." Ry and I were super excited, but didn't tell anyone about it (we wanted to wait until after we had met her). So on Christmas day we went and met our daughter for the first time. The meeting was amazing as Katelyn has the most wonderful birth family. So Christmas night we shared with our family that we had met our daughter that day and that we would be going the next day to the hospital to bring her home. Oh what Joy!! Our daughter was born December 23, 2010 and we welcomed her home with much love on December 26, 2010. GOD IS SOOOOO GOOD!!!
